It means "children of," according to Rabbi Janice Garfunkel of B'nai Abraham in Hagerstown. It is a transliteration of Hebrew, which has a different alphabet, and is pronounced, "Ben-AY." The phrase "B'nai Brith" means "children of the covenant," she said.
