HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Ashley Copenhaver had 12 service points, 11 kills and eight blocks on Tuesday to lead Hedgesville to a 15-11, 15-13, 15-3 sweep of Martinsburg.

Nancy Regalbuto had seven hits and seven blocks while Heather Maslauskas 13 service points for the Eagles (4-6). Ashley Paxson had seven kills.

Smithsburg 3, Boonsboro 0

SMITHSBURG - B.J. Greenwood was perfect serving, scoring 12 points, and Amber Biser had six assists and six kills as Smithsburg won, 15-3, 15-6, 15-5.


Becky Strite had two kills and 100 percent serving for Boonsboro.

Smithsburg won the JV match, 15-1, 15-3.

Greencastle 2, Trinity 0

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Tabitha Eshelman had 12 service points, one ace, 26 set-assists, one spike, two kills and one block to lead Greencastle to a 15-4, 15-2 win.

Danielle Grove had five service points, one ace, one spike, three kills and three digs, and Brandi Raishiner had two aces, two spikes, eight kills, two blocks and two digs.

Liberty 3, Frederick 0

FREDERICK, Md. - Ashley Bush had two blocks and two kills, Amanda Chapman had three aces and two assists and Shatema Franklin had two aces but Frederick lost, 15-2, 15-6, 15-7.

Jefferson 3, St. Maria Goretti 2

Heidi Siirtola had 20 kills, Julie Fanicola had 48 assists and Sarah Dolecki had six kills for Goretti, which lost a 2 1/2 hour-match to Jefferson, 10-15, 6-15, 15-13, 15-13, 14-16.

Kathy Poole had 20 points and two aces while Angie Webb added 15 points, nine kills and three aces for the Cougars (4-0). Tristain Coggins had 10 points, Angie McGaha had 10 kills and Amanda Johnson had five kills.

McConnellsburg 2, Chestnut Ridge 0

CHESTNUT RIDGE, Pa. - Kyla Seville had seven service points, five kills and six blocks to lead McConnellsburg to a 15-6, 15-11 victory.

Niki Chestnut had 10 service points while Tiffany Sipes had five kills, three block kills and 11 assists. Elina Karush and Gina Sipes had six kills each.

South Carroll 3, Thomas Johnson 1

FREDERICK, Md. - Christina Biddinger had 13 points and 12 assists but it wasn't enough for Thomas Johnson in a 15-11, 15-10, 6-15, 15-2 Central Maryland Conference loss to South Carroll.

Michelle Dorsch had nine kills, nine assists and two blocks for the Patriots (3-1) while Jen Wilson added eight blocks, nine service points and two kills. Angela Sintes had six service points, four kills and four blocks.

SJPH 3, St. Paul's 1

BALTIMORE - The Vikings dropped the first game, then swept back to beat St. Paul's 13-15, 15-7, 15-11, 15-9 and move their record to 3-0 on the season.


Frankfort holds on for win

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Frankfort, with medalist Ryan Phebus firing an 39, finished with 177 strokes to defeat Martinsburg (179), Hedgesville (184), Musselman (188) and Berkeley Springs (205).

Other low scorers were John Wachtel, Josh Hess and Justin Hockman, all firing 44s for Martinsburg, Tony Smallwood, 44, for Hedgesville, Zach Boyd, 43, for Musselman and Ryan Wall, 45, for Berkeley Springs.

Middletown wins

Jack Stimac fired a 38 at Black Rock to lead Middletown to wins over North Hagerstown and South Hagerstown.

Middletown finished with 158 strokes, while North had 169 and South had 185. Matt Belin fired a 38 for South while Brian Huffman, Ryan Allen and Matt Hess had 42 for North.


Heritage 10, Broadfording 0

Ben Jordan scored four goals while Ian Ellis and Ryan Marquiss added two goals and an assist each to lead Heritage to the shutout victory.

Drew Kidd and Jeremy Savage each had a goal and Briggs Haugh had two assists from Heritage (4-2, 3-1).

Highland View 4, Shalom 2

Gustavo Ciccopiedi, Cleidson Jackson, Josh Rodman and Doug Gatz scored for Highland. Jackson, Javier Paredes and Eric Martin had assists.

Potomac 7, St. James 0

ST. JAMES - St. James fell to 1-1-1.

Biglerville 5, James Buchanan 3

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Matt Miller scored on a first-half penalty kick and Matt Myers scored with 30 second remaining in the first half to cut the lead to 4-2.

Myers scored again in the second half for James Buchanan (3-5).


Boonsboro 6, FSK 2

UNION BRIDGE, Md. - Krista Hurley, Kelly Taylor and Ashley Metzger scored two goals apiece to lead Boonsboro.

Taylor and Lindsay Hicks had assists.

Boonsboro won the JV match, 3-1.


Wash. Co. Junior League Football

Senior Division

Smithsburg Patriots 25, Hanock Raiders 0: Nathan Steelman carried 12 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Patriots over Hancock. Matt Fieser carried 10 times for 87 yards and Derek Martin carried 12 times for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Daniels passed to Dustin Aaron for a conversion.


Washington County Flag Football

Miller Lite 13, Eddie's Detail 6: Danny Cunningham threw a 70-yard touchdown to Mark Burger and a 17-yard TD to Heath Crone. Willie Titus returned an interception 89 yards for Eddie's score.
