Dr. Allan A. Buratti

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -Dr. Allan A. Buratti, owner of Buratti Chiropractic Clinic, continues post-graduate training in Orlando, Fla., associated with the ACA Council on Internal Disorders.

This is part of an ongoing three-year certification for board eligibility in internal disorders. Specific course material involved lower gastrointestinal disease-diagnosis and management. Buratti practices in Chambersburg.

 

Fogelsanger Insurance

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Rose Thompson recently received a $500 scholarship from the Independent Insurance Agents of Pennsylvania through the Frank D. Moses Educational Fund.

Thompson is employed by the J. Paul Fogelsanger Insurance Agency in Shippensburg, Pa., as a customer service agent. She will receive the scholarship at the association's 100th annual meeting and luncheon to be held Sept. 18 in State College, Pa.

 

Menno Village

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Joyce Gilbert of Duffield, Pa., has been selected employee of the month for September at Menno Village in Chambersburg, Pa. Gilbert, a licensed practical nurse, works in assisted living. She has been employed at Menno Village since September 1988.

 

City Hospital

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -Gary W. Broadwater has been named chief financial officer of City Hospital, effective Oct. 4. Broadwater has served as controller/chief financial officer at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va., since 1981.

 

McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond

FREDERICK, Md. - Timothy E. Peters has joined McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond as a staff tax accountant. Peters will be working in the Frederick, Md., office.

Melinda A. Miller has successfully completed the Maryland Certified Public Account exam. Miller also works out of the firm's Frederick office.

 

Weekenders

Candice Wagaman of Hagerstown, was recognized in August at the Weekenders USA 1999 Fall/Winter National Conference in Nashville, Tenn. Wagaman, an independent sales manager for the clothing line, was recognized for double awards in personal sales and sponsorship.

Three fashion coordinators also were recognized. Crista Shoemaker of Hagerstown and Suzanne Shearer of Myersville were recognized for Top Sales Awards. Barbara Russell of Williamsport was also honored for top sales and sponsorship categories.

 

Blue Seal

Les Berghorn of South Rutland, N.Y., recently joined Blue Seal Feeds Inc., as dairy sales manager. Berghorn will be responsible for all dairy marketing efforts at the company's facility in Hagerstown, as well as other plants.

Before coming to Blue Seal, Berghorn was the eastern dairy products manager for a major midwestern agricultural products company.

 

Electromet

Electromet Corp. is pleased to announce the employee of the month for August was Randy Butts of Boonsboro, a spot welder since 1985.

 

Brook Lane

Dr. Jacqueline M. Amato joined the medical staff of Brook Lane Health Services in July. Amato completed her fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.
