Man attempts to rob Potomac Liquors

A man who displayed a knife attempted to rob Potomac Liquors Tuesday night, Hagerstown City Police said.

The man fled the Potomac Street liquor store empty-handed around 9 p.m., police said.

The would-be robber was described as a white man with brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. He was wearing a blue shirt and jeans, police said.

Police were looking for him in the area of Lee Street and Potomac Towers on East Baltimore St. around 9:30 p.m.
