Commissioners vote to rezone land
The Washington County Commissioners voted 4-0 Tuesday to rezone 2.92 acres from conservation to conservation with a historic preservation overlay.
The property owned by Larry R. Younker is on the south side of Dellinger Road, 2,500 feet east of its intersection with Neck Road, south of Williamsport.
The rezoning makes the property eligible for state tax credits.
Commissioner Paul Swartz was absent from the meeting.
Washington County Economic Development Director John Howard briefed the Washington County Commissioners on TECHFAST, which will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 10 at the Ramada Inn.
TECHFAST is a series of seven breakfast events around Maryland sponsored by the High Technology Council of Maryland.
About 200 people are expected to attend the one in Hagerstown, which is the last of the seven, Howard said.
