Donald F. Donahue Sr.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Donald F. Donahue Sr., 70, of 10283 Letzburg Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born June 13, 1929, in Huntingdon, Pa., he was the son of the late Riley Joseph and Mary Tressa Wood Donahue.

He graduated from Robertsdale High School in Robertsdale, Pa.

He was employed at Mack Trucks in Hagerstown for 25 years, retiring in 1987.

He was a former pastor of Church of God on Letzburg Road near Greencastle.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. Boyer Donahue; a daughter, Crystal L. Donahue of Fairmont, W.Va.; two sons, Donald F. Donahue Jr. of Hagerstown and Whitney D. Donahue of Greencastle; two sisters, Delores Corbin of Huntingdon and Cleo O'Neal of Broad Top City, Pa.; two brothers, James W. Donahue of Saxton, Pa., and Jack L. Donahue of Morgantown, W.Va.; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Chilcote, Ellen Park and Blanche Davis; and a brother, Riley Donahue.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Revs. Paul O'Neil and David L. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Broad Top Cemetery, Broad Top, Pa.

The family will receive friends Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gladys R. Ensminger

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Gladys R. Ensminger, 66, of 14264 Buchanan Trail West, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born March 3, 1933, in Markes, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Hazel Miller Brindle.

She was employed for the past 19 years by Mercersburg Moose Lodge No. 1790.

She was a member of the auxiliaries of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post No. 6241 of Mercersburg; Joseph Stickell American Legion Post No. 15 of Waynesboro; and Women of the Moose Lodge No. 830 of Mercersburg.

She is survived by her husband, Roy "Pete" Ensminger, whom she married June 6, 1953; a daughter, Wanda J. Deshong of Mercersburg; three sons, Rickey E. Ensminger of Virginia Beach, Va., Robert T. Ensminger of Mercersburg and Roger T. Ensminger of Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.; a sister, Donna Deshong of Waynesboro; four brothers, Ralph Brindle and John Brindle, both of York, Pa., Paul Brindle of Fayetteville, Pa., and Walter Brindle of Mercersburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ensminger; and a granddaughter.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Roy E. Brake Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edward L. Heffner

KNOXVILLE, Md. - Edward Lee Heffner, 68, of 4304 Catholic Church Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 20, 1930, in Brunswick, Md., he was the son of the late John Lewis and Estella Gertrude Ecker Heffner.

He retired as a carman with CSX Railway System in Brunswick after 40 years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Brunswick.

He was a member of Carman's Lodge No. 125.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine Sigler Heffner; four daughters, Pam Gomez of Knoxville, Charlotte Payne of Sharpsburg, Barbara Heffner of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Cathy Heffner of Charles Town, W.Va.; a son, Toby Heffner of Knoxville; a brother, Richard L. Heffner of Knoxville; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Carl L. Heffner; and a sister, Gloria Heffner.

Services will be Saturday at noon at First Baptist Church in Brunswick. The Rev. Daniel T. Spiker will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The funeral home will be open Friday from 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Door Fund, 203 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick, MD 21716.

Robert L. Zepp

PASADENA, Md. - Robert Lee Zepp, 75, of Pasadena, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Jan. 25, 1924, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late James Clark and Josephine Clemmons Zepp.

He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1987.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 277 in Riviera Beach, Md.; VFW Post No. 194 in Salisbury, Md.; and Stone Creek Hunting and Fishing Club.
