Toddler, preschool swim classes offered

Total Rehab Care of Washington County Hospital offers swim classes for ages 18 months to 4 years old at Robinwood Medical Center, 11110 Medical Campus Road in Hagerstown. The classes are Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. and cost $5 each. For registration, call 301-714-4025.

Multiple sclerosis clinics sponsored by Total Rehab

Total Rehab Care sponsors multiple sclerosis clinics on the third Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Robinwood Medical Center, Total Rehab Care, Suite 201, 11110 Medical Campus Road in Hagerstown.

Health professionals will conduct assessments for multiple sclerosis patients, including physical therapy, speech therapy, wheelchair evaluations and pain management. A physician's prescription is required. Clinics are free.

Day of Caring meeting set for Wednesday, Aug. 11

RANSON, W.Va. - Jefferson County United Way Day of Caring organizing committee will meet Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 3 p.m. in the first-floor conference room at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, 300 S. Preston St. in Ranson. Project managers and agency representatives are in the process of organizing projects and volunteers for the Tuesday, Sept. 14, Day of Caring. Hospital provides free early pregnancy classes

Washington County Hospital offers free early pregnancy classes on what to expect during pregnancy. The next class will be Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Robinwood Medical Center, Community Room, Room 102, 11110 Medical Campus Road in Hagerstown.

Childbirth education class set for Sept. 18, 19

A weekend childbirth education class, sponsored by Family Birthing Center at Washington County Hospital, is offered quarterly at Robinwood Medical Center, conference center, blue entrance, 11110 Medical Campus Road in Hagerstown. The next class will be Saturday, Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The class will include prepared childbirth, wee care (baby care) and infant CPR. Saturday's session includes two snacks and lunch, and Sunday's class includes a light lunch.

The fee is $110 per couple or $95 per person. Registration is required.

People with diabetes can get free flu shots

Franklin-Fulton County American Diabetes Alliance and Pennsylvania Health Department Diabetes Group will offer free flu shots at the October support group meetings. All persons with diabetes may receive these free flu shots.

Call Patty Smith at 1-717-597-4776 to reserve your shot. The shots will be given Monday, Oct. 11, at Chambersburg Hospital, lecture center, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 14, at Waynesboro Hospital, conference room, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
