Cochran-Keller

Rachel LaDonna Cochran and Kim Duane Keller wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Cochran is the daughter of Delphine Bixby of Hayden, Idaho, and Lyle Cochran of Roseburg, Ore. She is a 1983 graduate of Nazarene High School in Roseburg. She is employed as an employee benefit specialist with Foster, Soltoff and Love Ltd. in Bethesda, Md.

Mr. Keller is the son of Ritchard and Shirley Cornwell of Cumberland, Md., and John W. Keller of Hagerstown. He is a 1973 graduate of Fort Hill High School and received an associate's degree in media technology from Allegany Community College in 1978. He is employed as a salesman with Value City Furniture in Hagerstown.

A Sept. 5 wedding is planned.

Wagner-Ketchum

Stephanie Lynn Wagner and Christian James Ketchum wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Wagner is the daughter of Dr. Franklin and Pache Wagner of Hagerstown. She is a 1989 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School, a 1993 graduate of Bucknell University, and a 1997 graduate of University of Baltimore School of Law. She is an attorney with the Baltimore law firm of Whiteford, Taylor and Preston LLP, where she focuses on the areas of federal and state transactional tax planning and general corporate law.

Mr. Ketchum is the son of Roland and Lorelyn Ketchum of Honeoye Falls, N.Y. He is a 1989 graduate of Honeoye Falls-Lima High School and a 1993 graduate of Bucknell University. He received his master's degree in 1996 and doctorate degree in 1998, both in molecular physiology and biological physics from the University of Virginia. He is a post-doctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he conducts research on cystic fibrosis.

An Oct. 30 wedding is planned.

Carter-Wachter

Mary Ann Carter and Scott Wachter wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Carter is the daughter of Janice Carter of Arbovale, W.Va., and Richard Carter of Buckingham, Pa. She is a 1995 graduate of Pocahontas County High School and a student in the nursing program at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W.Va. She is employed by Valley Medical Transport as an emergency medical technician and is an aeromedical evacuation technician with 167th West Virginia Air National Guard.

Mr. Wachter is the son of Sylvia Wachter of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Gary and Linda Wachter, also of Berkeley Springs. He is a 1986 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and a 1991 graduate of Shepherd College with a bachelor of fine arts degree. He is pursuing a degree in education. He is employed by 167th Airlift Wing of West Virginia National Guard as a loadmaster.

A Sept. 18 wedding is planned.

Sweeney-Kijowski

Thomas and Doris Sweeney of Boonsboro wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Marie Sweeney, to John Travis Kijowski, son of John Walter Kijowski of Baltimore.

Miss Sweeney is a 1988 graduate of Boonsboro High School and a 1992 graduate of Frostburg State University. She is a certified management accountant and is employed as an accountant with Washington County Board of Education.

Mr. Kijowski attended Northwestern Senior High School. He is employed as a welder/fabricator with Clark Welding & Fabrication in Frederick, Md.

A May 6, 2000, wedding is planned.

Heefner-Turner

Staci L. Heefner and Jamie A. Turner wish to announce their engagement.

Miss Heefner is the daughter of William S. Heefner of Smithsburg and Karen S. Hammond of Hagerstown. She is a student at Hagerstown Community College and plans to graduate in spring 2000 from nursing school. She is employed by Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md.

Mr. Turner is a graduate of Hagerstown Community College with a liberal arts degree. He is employed by Kodak Digital Imaging in Rockville, Md.
