Youth Advocate Programs Inc.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Youth Advocate Programs Inc. has opened a family outpatient clinic at 518-B Cleveland Ave., Chambersburg.

Clinic hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Morning hours are available on Saturdays by appointment.

Administrative staff is available to schedule appointments and address emergency calls Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The staff includes a psychiatrist, director, clinical supervisor and therapist.

An open house is planned Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Allegheny Energy

Increased earnings from Allegheny Energy Inc.'s nonutility energy supply business led to 1999 second-quarter earnings per share that are 25 percent higher than earnings for the same quarter last year.

The company reported 1999 second-quarter earnings of $64.5 million, compared to a consolidated net loss in the second quarter of 1998 of $211.6 million.

Included in the 1998 second quarter results is a $265.4 million expense associated with the company's restructuring in Pennsylvania.

Allegheny Energy is headquartered in Hagerstown.


One Valley Bancorp

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - One Valley Bancorp Inc. has approved a plan authorizing the repurchase of up to 1.5 million shares of its common stock.

The decision follows a 1.5 million-share repurchase announced in February and completed in June.

Under this plan, shares may be purchased at various times.

One Valley has 33.4 million shares of common stock outstanding.

The $6.3 billion bank holding company has offices in the Eastern Panhandle.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Capitol Theatre has named Tresa Paul assistant operations manager.

Paul has been with the theater since February. She previously worked in the box office.
