Gunmen strike steakhouse at lunchtime

FREDERICK, Md. - Two men robbed the Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon at the Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick Wednesday morning, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.

The men forced two employees into a refrigerator and forced a third worker to open a safe at gunpoint, deputies said.

A fourth employee was in the dining section of the 5605 Spectrum Drive restaurant while the robbery took place at 11:30 a.m.

One shot may have been fired at an employee, deputies said.

No one was injured.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

One of the robbers was described as a black man, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and wearing gray sweatpants and a gray hooded sweatshirt. He had a thin build, deputies said.


The other robber was also a black man of about the same height. He was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt and has a muscular build.
