Blasting caps stolen

July 16, 1999

HALFWAY - Blasting caps were stolen from a shed on Lexington Avenue, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Department.

Aaron Semiler told deputies that 75 to 100 blasting caps were missing on Friday from a shed behind the home he shares with his grandmother at 17423 Lexington Ave.

A blasting cap is a devise used to initiate explosions, Deputy Mark Price said.

Price said Semiler last saw the blasting caps on July 8 and discovered them missing on Friday.
