The Millers

Charles Edward and Myra Lee (Bageant) Miller celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 13, at a dinner hosted by their family at Coolfont in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

The Millers were married June 8, 1939, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs by the Rev. Charles Comesky.

The Millers have five children, Diane M. Wills of Berkeley Springs; Mary B. Douglas of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; Daniel T. Miller of Hedgesville, W.Va.; Kenneth W. Miller of State College, Pa.; and Gary D. Miller of Hagerstown. They also have seven grandchildren.


Mrs. Miller is the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Bageant. She worked for Interwoven Hosiery Mills in Berkeley Springs and is a homemaker.

Mr. Miller is the son of the late Charles and Beatrice Miller. He was a farmer for many years. He retired from employment with the state of West Virginia.

The Moores

A 60th wedding anniversary celebration was recently held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moore of Halfway. A family get-together to honor the couple was held at the home of their daughter.

The Moores were married June 29, 1939, at St. Paul's United Brethren Church.

Mrs. Moore is a homemaker. Mr. Moore was in the grocery business for 40 years. He retired 14 years ago from the Board of Education.

The Moores have three children, Gary Moore, Darryl Moore and Cheryl Foltz, all of Hagerstown. They also have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
