Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"I have a family member in desperate need of baby boy clothing. Anyone who would be willing to donate items, it will be greatly appreciated. Please call 301-745-3363."

"This is advice to everyone, if you are going to lie to someone about anything, then never tell a person any more than they are going to believe."

"With all the media recognition going on about the Civil War re-enactments, I think a newspaper reporter should go to Sharpsburg and get a story on Sharpsburg Rifles that re-enacted their period of the war. We are an appreciated group and very active. We were involved in several Civil War activities. We are a well respected outfit and participated in many historic ceremonies."

"This message is for Dr. Thomas Craig, please consider coming out of retirement. We your patients need you. With you, your patients came first, not how fast you fatten your wallet. Now it is test, test, test. It is no wonder the insurance companies and Medicare are complaining. Some tests are absolutely unneccesary. Do I hear any amens to this?"

"To the person who was looking for a good dentist for their children, there is Dr. Cradduck, D.D.S. in the phone book. He is a very good dentist with children or adults, he is an excellent dentist. So you can try them."

"Lady in the paper who wanted a dentist for her children. Dr. Kramer on Leitersburg Pike and Dr. Cradduck are good with children and might take payments, you can try either one. Call and see."

"I am calling about the person who wanted a pediatric dentist. I would recommend Dr. Levy in Frederick. His number is 301-663-8300. They are very good with children and they allow you to go back with your child. I also do not have insurance. They are reasonable. An appointment is only $28 for a visit and X-rays are only $10 each."

"In response to the Mitchell Avenue incident with the police. Police do not get shot because of the force they have to use when arresting someone. They get shot because people simply do not have respect. Until people start showing respect the problem is only going to get worse. I also think that the police should start demanding more respect from people."

"To the people who drive on Longmeadow Road, give the people who are backing into their driveways a break. Give them a chance to back up and into the driveway before you hit them. Slow down, let somebody live."

"I want to congratulate that couple for winning $100,000 in the Powerball lottery. They are very good people."
