Contract awarded for transfer stations

The Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday awarded a $208,568 bid for contract services at four transfer stations and the Resh Sanitary Landfill.

The one-year contract, for the eighth year, goes to Waste Management of Shenandoah Valley of Martinsburg, W.Va. The company submitted the lowest bid.




The Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday reappointed John Clopper and Michael Hoehn to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

The commissioners also appointed Lawrence Baldwin to fill a vacancy on the committee.
