District 1 9-10 All-Stars

National 14, Halfway 10: Ken Feigley and Jason Sutherland combined for 10 strikeouts and Sutherland had two hits to lead National to the Eastern Section title. Chad Bikle, Brock Jamison, Marcellus Sumlin and Brittany Hyatt also had two hits for National, which plays West champion Frostburg at home at 6 Monday. Dee Scott had three hits for Halfway.

District 13 PONY League

Hagerstown B 13, Waynesboro 3: Dustin Bachtell had three hits and three RBIs, while Trevor Hullinger had three hits and two RBIs to lead Hagerstown B. Tim Kellinger and David Miner combined on a two-hitter for the win.

Hagerstown A 18, Chambersburg 0: T.J. Hose had two hits and two RBIs, and earned the win, striking out eight to lead Hagerstown A. Brad Stottelmyer had three hits and drove in two runs, Jeremy Everitts had a two-run homer, Kyle Robinson had four hits and two RBIs, and Luther Davis had two hits, including a three-run homer.


Junior League All-Stars

Clear Spring 4, Oakland 1: Adam Mills threw a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and had two hits to lead Clear Spring.

Wash. Co. Girls Softball

Post 10 27, Aladdin Awards 16: Jackie Brown drove in two runs and Jenn Beachley had two hits to lead Post 10. Ashley Bikle had two hits for Aladdin Awards.


Hagerstown Area Church Softball

Maranatha/Virginia Ave. Church of God 13, Chewsville United Methodist 11: Jason Gladhill, Ray Scadden and Mike Shank each had three hits for Maranatha.

Maranatha/Virginia Ave. Church of God 31, Williamsport Assembly of God 18: Michael Pickeral had six hits to lead Maranatha. Jason Gladhill, Bill Green, Ray Scadden, Bobby Hays and Brian Kershner each had three hits, and Hays homered.

Grace 45, Nazarene 10: Dave Odell and Bobby Miller each had seven hits, while Bud Allen, Blake Gelwick and Mike Mowen each had six hits for Grace. Mowen hit two homers, while Miller and Jody Rohrer homered.

Hagerstown Colt League

The Hagerstown Palomino All-Stars will begin the playoffs with a best-of-3 series today against South Adams (Pa.) at Hellane Park. The series will run through Monday if necessary. All games begin at 7 p.m.
