A traffic stop for an improper turn early Tuesday led to the arrests of two people, according to Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

Tyrone Earl Nelson, 19, of 410 W. 110th St., Apt. 1-K, New York, was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing and hindering, deputies said.

The driver of the 1979 Chevrolet, Ann Marie Boone, 39, of 145 E. Baltimore St., was charged with driving while intoxicated, deputies said.

Deputy Robert Whittington pulled the car over at Franklin and Potomac streets at 3:24 a.m. and found that it had been reported stolen in Hagerstown.

As the deputy approached the car, a man ran from the scene and was apprehended later on Randolph Avenue, police said.




Early Tuesday, thieves broke out the glass in a door and entered the Hagerstown Clothing Company at Prime Outlets, according to Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

Initial reports indicate about 30 shirts were taken in the break-in, according to Deputy Daniel Watson Jr.




A resident at 17333 Spielman Road in Fairplay reported to Maryland State Police over the weekend that someone broke into his home and took a wallet containing $1,000.

Also over the weekend, a trucker broke a nozzle off a diesel fuel pump at AC&T Service Station when he drove away with the hose still in his vehicle, state police said.
