Brianne Hamilton has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Shepherd College, women's basketball coach Betsy Blose announced on Tuesday.

Hamilton started her high school career at Martinsburg before playing her senior season at St. Maria Goretti. She earned West Virginia All-State, All-Area and All-Apple Valley Conference honors during her career.

The Rams are coming off a season where they won their first WVIAC title.

District I East 9-10

Conococheague 12, West End 2: Lee Draper pitched a complete-game five-hitter, and had two hits to lead Conococheague. Cory Baker added two hits. Stephan McDaniel had two hits for West End.

Federal 8, South Mountain 4: Mark Dattilio had four hits and earned the win, pitching a complete-game seven-hitter with five strikeouts to lead Federal. Aaron Dixon had three hits for South Mountain.

National 12, Halfway 4: Marcellus Sumlin and Christian Selby had two hits for National. Jason Sutherland, Sumlin and Ken Feigley combined on a one-hitter.

Distruct I Junior League

Clear Spring 6, Oakland 5: Adam Mills earned the win and Dan Norris had a three-run homer to lead Clear Spring. Danny O'Brian had two hits and Kevin Goralsky hit a two-run homer for Oakland.

Oakland 21, Hancock 5: Bo Divelbliss had two hits and drove in a run for Hancock.

Halfway 10, South County 5: Aaron Mowbrey and Pat Moore each had two hits, and Moore homered to lead Halfway. Adam Trovinger and Kyle Thomas had two hits for South County.

Hagerstown PONY League

UAW 3, Jeter Paving 2: Chris Schildt pitched a complete-game four-hitter and struck out 13 to lead UAW to the league title. Reinner Pearrell added a home run for UAW. Aaron Davis struck out 11 and allowed just three hits for Jeter Paving. Matt Allen hit a solo homer.

FOP 5, Troopers 4: Eddie Martin had two hits and drove in two runs to lead FOP to a third-place finish in the league. Drew Kidd had two hits, while Derek St. Clair earned the win, throwing six innings and striking out five. Bryan Reeder had a solo homer for Troopers.

Halfway Minor League

Hopewell Sheet Metal 21, Hagerstown Trust 10: Andrew Duff had two hits to lead Hopewell to the league title. Duff also earned the win on the mound. Josh Cline had two hits for Hagerstown Trust.

Blue Ridge Baseball

Hagerstown Braves 11, Frederick Ravens 4: Deron Crawford struck out eight to earn his fourth win of the season, and Dan Cunningham hit a three-run homer to lead the Braves (20-12).

Brian Kerns went 3-for-4, while brother Mick Kerns had two hits and drove in two runs. Matt Bragunier and Kenny Moore also had two hits for Hagerstown.

Hub City/Pinesburg Softball

Talley Metals 32, Lenox 14: Ronnie Shoemaker and Scott Nicewarner each had five hits to lead Talley Metals. Jeff Hamilton and Rod Beard both had four hits, while Shoemaker and Nicewarner homered.

Hagerstown Area Church League

Christ Reformed/St. James Brethren 15, Tri-State Fellowship 13: Jeff Housel and Lloyd Kelly each had three hits, while Mike Hull added two hits for Christ reformed. Todd Streett had four hits for Tri-State Fellowship.
