Synergy Therapeutic Massage Center and Training School

BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Synergy Therapeutic Massage Center and Training School graduated its fourth class of massage therapists on May 1.

The graduates are Kathleen Doyle, of Frederick, Md.; Samuel A. Key, of Hagerstown; Jennifer L. Horn, of Fairplay; Lynne Balant, of Westminster, Md.; Jean Carl, of Smithsburg; Linda Ehrhart, of Chambersburg, Pa.; Karen Manderson, of Waynesboro, Pa.; Nancy A. Saxton, of Cascade; Sallie A. Miller, of Keymar, Md.; Danny Walter, of Cumberland, Md.; and Katie Norris, of Sharpsburg.

The 500-hour program was taught by Margie Schaeffer.

FREDERICK, Md. - Keller Bruner & Co., LLP, has announced that Susan Dunkerly was a top scorer on the November 1998 Certified Public Accountancy exam.

Dunkerly scored seventh highest in Maryland, and was recognized at the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants Mid-Maryland Chapter's New CPA Night.

Dunkerly is a business valuation consultant with Keller Bruner & Company.

Spotts, Stevens and McCoy

WILLIAMSPORT - Williamsport native J. Carlton Godlove II, president and chief executive officer of Spotts, Stevens and McCoy, Inc., was among nine award recipients honored at the Central Pennsylvania Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Program.

Godlove was recognized for his leadership and success in reorganizing and rejuvenating Spotts, Stevens and McCoy, the family-owned engineering firm that was founded by his late father-in-law, Lewis McCoy Sr.

Godlove has been invited to attend the Annual Entrepreneur of the Year International Conference in Palm Springs, Calif., in November. As a local award winner, he will be inducted into the Entrepreneur of the Year Institute.

Culligan Water Conditioning

Culligan International honored Rusty Stoner, of Culligan Water Conditioning, with the Sales Recognition award for his outstanding sales performance during the past year.

He received the award at the company's annual convention in Orlando, Fla.

Culligan Water Conditioning in Hagerstown has offered water treatment products and service for more than 40 years.

Partners in Pediatrics

Dr. Bruce E. Weneck, board-certified pediatrician and president of Partners in Pediatrics in Hagerstown, recently completed a management course at the Pennsylvania Medical Society in Harrisburg, Pa.

The managerial and personal leadership course included financial management, employee management and personnel leadership for patient flow management.

Weneck has been a pediatrician in the Hagerstown area for 17 years.

Pulte Home

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Susan DeShong, formerly of McConnellsburg, Pa., has been named the May sales leader for the southwest Florida market of Pulte Home Corp.

DeShong is a sales associate at Spring Run, a 300-acre community of golf course homes in The Brooks being built by Pulte.

Previously, DeShong had 14 years of real estate and sales management experience with Fountainhead Properties Management and Office Suppliers Inc. in Hagerstown.

Jefferson Memorial Hospital

RANSON, W.Va. - Dr. Paul Julien, board certified ear, nose and throat specialist, has joined the medical staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

Prior to moving to the Eastern Panhandle, Julien practiced in Canada.

Although his primary office is in Martinsburg on Tavern Road, he also sees patients in his Jefferson County office in the Third Avenue Medical Building in Ranson.

Central Precision

BOONSBORO - Central Precision Inc. of Boonsboro, a precision sheet metal fabricator, has announced its official registration as an ISO-9002 company effective May 27.

The ISO-9000 Series are international standards for quality systems.

The registration confirms an outstanding effort by all of the company's employees.

Hub Labels

Mark Fedorka has been named employee of the month for June at Hub Labels Inc. in Hagerstown.

Fedorka is a press operator who came up with an ingenious way of saving thousands of dollars on a production run.

He is being recognized for his creativity.

Antietam Health Services

Antietam Health Services Inc. has welcomed Mary L. Berg as its operations executive.

Prior to joining AHS, Berg was with the Mid-Atlantic States Region Kaiser Permanente.

AHS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Washington County Health System Inc.
