Century 21 MG Realty

W. Louis Plummer Jr., sales associate with Century 21 MG Realty, has been awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council of the National Association of Realtors.

The requirements to earn the designation include a comprehensive course in buyer representation, a written test on legal and practical aspects of client representation and practical experience.

Plummer works from Century 21 MG Realty's office on Pennsylvania Avenue in Hagerstown.

The First National Bank of Greencastle

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - The First National Bank of Greencastle has announced that Donald F. Chlebowski Jr., chief financial officer, has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Financial Accounting Standards Committee.


The committee monitors accounting and financial reporting issues and standards as both users and issuers of financial information.

Chlebowski will serve a one-year term starting July 1.

Chambersburg Hospital

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Carla Goshorn, secretary, education, is Chambersburg Hospital's June Employee of the Month.

Goshorn, of Chambersburg, was nominated by her colleagues.

She was recognized for efforts such as producing extraordinary volumes of work and looking for ways to eliminate wasted time for herself and co-workers.

Smith Elliott Kearns & Co.

Smith Elliott Kearns & Co. LLC is forming user groups for Peachtree and QuickBooks computer software as a resource for users.

The organizational meeting will be held July 20 for Peachtree and August 24 for QuickBooks. Both meetings will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Quality Inn in Chambersburg.

The user groups are free and open to the public.

Outlook Pointe Assisted Living

Outlook Pointe Assisted Living has announced that Registered Nurse Deanna Nalley has joined its organization as health promotions coordinator.

Nalley has 19 years nursing experience in long-term care and assisted living.

Outlook Pointe at Hagerstown, off Eastern Boulevard, is scheduled to open this summer, offering lifestyle and care management services to Hagerstown senior citizens who want assisted living.

The Keller-Stonebraker Insurance and Financial Planning Group

W. Lewis Stevens, vice president of The Keller-Stonebraker Insurance and Financial Planning Group in Hagerstown, recently received his 25-year award from State Auto Insurance Companies.

Keller-Stonebraker has been in business since 1901.

State Auto operates in 26 states, mostly in the Midwest and Eastern U.S.


WILLIAMSPORT - CertainTeed Corp. has named Jeff Smith as the new manager of the company's vinyl siding and window plant on Governor Lane Boulevard in Williamsport.

Previously, Smith managed the CertainTeed plant in Grinnell, Iowa, and earlier had been plant engineering manager at the Williamsport facility.

Smith, of Newton, Iowa, is in the process of relocating to the Hagerstown area.

Bri-Mar Manufacturing

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Bri-Mar Manufacturing, which designs and builds hydraulic dump trailers, recently hired Scott R. Mentzer as its controller. Mentzer, of Greencastle, Pa., will establish and head the accounting department and implement a new computer system for financial reporting.

Also, Bri-Mar has promoted Teresa K. Guyer to inside sales. Guyer, of Waynesboro, Pa., has been with Bri-Mar for one year and is already familiar with the dealers. Her new duties will include sales, shipping, account management and working closely with the dealer network.

Additionally, Bri-Mar has brought Rick T. Hess on board to handle all aspects of purchasing supplies and materials for the company. Hess, of Waynesboro, has been in manufacturing for 10 years and has experience in purchasing. He also will be in charge of safety and environmental compliance.
