Some ways to enhance your water-drinking experience:

* Put it on the rocks. Ice water empties from the stomach more quickly than warmer water, and it tastes better.

* Add a squeeze of juice from a fresh orange or lemon.

* Add a drop of synthetic sweetener.

* Concentrated fruit juice can give it some pizzazz.  Put in just enough to slightly color the water; the more you put in, the higher the calorie content.

* Try a carbonated variety. Seltzer water has some fizz and comes in flavors.
