National Little League

FOP 12, Pangborn 0: Nathan Steelman threw a one-hitter with six strikeouts and added two hits to lead FOP. Tim Bossler had four hits, and Ryan Rau also homered for FOP.

West End Little League

Elks 12, Stags 8: Elks drew 11 walks and used its only hit - a two-run double by Mark Brown - to win. Orland Dean and D.J. Lucas combined for 13 strikeouts for Stags. Danny Gower and Dean delivered two hits each, while Lucas homered for Stags.

American Little League

VFW 4, Olympia Trophy 0: Leroy Dotson threw a one-hitter and struck out 14 to lead VFW.

Elks 10, Funkstown Legion 0: Ross Pederson had a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and had two hits of his own to lead Elks. Chad Dutrow added two hits for Elks.


Smithsburg Little Sluggers

Homestyle Laundry 14, Lions 2: Scott Miller, Blake Nalley and Jamie Wiley combined for eight strikeouts as Homestyle Laundry won the league championship. Wiley added two hits, and Miller had a three-run triple.

South Mountain Little League

Jerry's Sports & Designs 16, Thompson's 9: Courtney Long struck out seven to lead Jerry's, which also got two hits from Mike Shoop. Greg Eichelberger struck out seven in three innings and added three hits for Thompson's, which also got two hits from Sam McLernon.

Nationwide 12, Pete's 2: Chris Thomas and Chris Cannon had three hits each, and Cannon homered, to lead Nationwide.

Reese's 11, Post 10 10: Jeremiah Mills had four hits, James Hagaman had three, and Jimmy Griffin and Matt Piston each had two for Reese's. Jacob Munson had three hits, Cameron Shifler had two and Jeff Sink homered for Post 10.

Clear Spring Minor League

Pirates 12, Astros 10: Jeremy Johnson and Sam Blake had RBI singles to lead the Pirates. Jeremy McMullen had two hits for the Astros.

Clear Spring Junior League

Ft. Frederick Ruritan 7, Bragunier Masonry 3: Josh Barnhart threw a four-hitter and struck out 10 to pick up the win for Ruritan. Trenton Almeda had two hits for Bragunier.

Clear Spring Little League

Orioles 18, Yankees 7: Larry Hose and Adam Kriner had three hits each to lead the Orioles. Joey Kissner had an inside-the-park home run, while Zack Hartman added two doubles for the Yankees.

Halfway Little League

Redmen 21, Gibney's 7: Dimicko Suttle hit three home runs on his way to a 5-for-5 night for Redmen. Matt Sweigert, Kyle Lewis, Tommy Wallech, Coty Grove, Bill Brindly and Aaron Hershberger added two hits apiece for Redmen. Jordan Duvall collected three hits for Gibney's.

Hagerstown Colt League

Goodwill 7, VFW 6: Simon Henry and Nick Berger had three hits each, while Luke Henry added two hits for VFW.

Eagles 14, UAW 3: Kevin Stouffer had three hits, and Joe McGhee, Steve Heefner and Chris Higgins added two hits for Eagles.

South County Senior League

FOP 3, Aladdin Awards 1: Derek Wisner had three hits and Derek Metzger had two hits to lead FOP. Shane Biden and Chris Butts had two hits for Aladdin.

Maugansville Little League

Executone 9, Home Care 6: Corey Monroe and Justin Jones each had two hits to lead Executone. Chris Miller and Dave Kendle had two hits each for Home Care.

Federal Little League

Rotary 18, American Legion 3: Brandon Brown had four hits and Matt Ridenour and Mark Datillio each added three for Rotary. Colby Thompson and Stephen Zerance combined for 10 strikeouts, Datillio homered and Kyle Hoffman had two hits for the winners.

Senior Interleague

Cavetown 5, NARG 4: Adam Hood hurled a five-hitter, David Gipe had three hits, while Kevin Orsini added two hits for Cavetown.

CSL Softball

Michael's Printing 17, Quincy 0: Kasie Beaver struck out 12 and hit a three-run homer in the win for Michael's. Megan Dayhoff added three RBIs for Michael's.

Shear Techniques 15, Supreme Block 4: Sami Post and Melinda Swain came through with three hits each to help Shear Techniques beat Supreme Block.

Five Forks 21, Phil and Jerry's 5: Christy Young homered to lead Five Forks.Kristin Pryor had a two-run triple for Phil and Jerry's.

Wash. Co. Girls Softball

Redmen 8, Aladdin 7: Emily Shirk homered among her three hits, while Jennifer Toms also had three hits to lead Redmen. Holly Faulders and Niki Leisinger added two hits each for Redmen. Brandy Price led Aladdin with two hits.

El Paso 20, Keebler 9: Amber Cronise struck out six, and Jennifer Davalos, Kara Williamson and Misty Marker all had three hits apiece for El Paso. Heidi Clevenger and Cronise added two hits each for El Paso. Amanda Norris had three hits for Keebler.

Bowman Trucking 18, Long Meadow Rotary 15: Lee Graff had three hits, and Danielle McKimmy and Crescent Trumpower added two hits each for Bowman Trucking. Amanda McGhee and Dana Kline led Long Meadow Rotary with two hits each.

4-Star 11, AFSCME 7: Nakeia Ladow had two hits, including a three-run triple, to lead 4-Star. Emily Malott and Lauren Brown had two hits for 4-Star. Samantha Asper, Brianne Hammond and Grace Yodie collected two hits each for AFSCME.
