Man faces drug charges after accident

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charges of driving while drugged have been filed against a Chambersburg man involved in a May 15 accident in which two teenagers died near Fayetteville, Pa.

Todd Lynn Jamison, 20, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, careless driving, equipment violations and possession of a small amount of marijuana, according to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper D.E. Rost.

The two Adams County, Pa., teens died shortly after 8:30 a.m. when their car collided with another car at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Pa. 233, Pennsylvania State Police said.

John R. Myers, 16, of Aspers, Pa., who was driving the 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity, and passenger Eric Black, 13, of Gettysburg, Pa., died as a result of the accident.

Both victims were wearing seat belts, police said.

According to police, Myers was heading south on Pa. 233. After stopping, he pulled into the intersection with U.S. 30 and was struck by a 1986 Ford Mustang driven by Jamison who had been eastbound on U.S. 30.

Jamison, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries, police said.
