A bus trip to Dorney Park has been scheduled for Aug. 14 and Hagerstown youngsters are invited.
Last year a similar trip drew three busloads of children who spent a day at Paramount King's Dominion in Richmond, Va.
"This year we chose Dorney because it's closer and less expensive," said Clara Broadus of Hagerstown, one of the organizers of the second annual For Our Kids Sake trip.
Fund-raisers and donations support the trip. Orgainzers hope this year to take four busloads to the Allentown, Pa., attraction.
The 200-acre amusement and water park features more than 100 rides and attractions.
Businesses and individuals are being solicited for donations, Broadus said.
Money that remained after last year's trip was placed in a bank account specifically set up for the annual trip. It will be applied to this summer's expenses, Broadus said.
