Born March 20, 1911, in Frostown, Md., he was the son of the late Ezra and Esta Palmer Haupt.
He was a retired farmer and mason.
He is survived by his wife, June Gilbert Haupt; a son, Michael E. Haupt of Middletown; a stepson, Ronald E. Toms of Frederick; five stepgrandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. The Rev. Tracy E. Wiser will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Myersville.
Friends may call any time today at the funeral home.
The family received friends Tuesday, June 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
John H. Boyer
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - John H. Boyer, 90, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born June 12, 1908, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John E. and Pamela M. Dunlap Boyer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia B. Kisling Boyer, in 1991.
He was a graduate of Charles Town High School.
He owned and operated Shenandoah Heating and Air Conditioning Co., in Charles Town, from 1936 to 1976.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town, and was on the board. He was a member of the church choir; and a member and former president of Builders Bible class.
He was a former member of the board of directors of Jefferson Memorial Hospital; and a member of Charles Town Chapter, SPEBSQUA chorus.
He is survived by a sister, Sarah V. Lehman, of Fahrney-Keedy Home, Boonsboro; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Boyer and William Boyer.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. Dr. Wyman Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

William A. Stewart
BRUNSWICK, Md. - William Anthony Stewart, 70, of 922 E. D St., died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 2, 1928, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late George and Margaret Bode Stewart.
A retired master plumber, he owned and operated William A. Stewart Inc. in Gaithersburg, Md.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a member of Master Plumbers Association.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Stewart; two daughters, Elizabeth Stewart of Frederick, Md., and Anna Grossnickle of Myersville, Md.; four sons, John Stewart, William Stewart and Larry Swanger, all of Brunswick, and Robert Stewart of Boyds, Md.; a sister, Anita Jones of King George, Va.; a brother, John Stewart of California; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Stewart.
Services will be today at 7:30 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The Rev. Lawrence J. Gesy will officiate. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 9 a.m.
Ruth L. Reeder
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Ruth Leona Reeder, 92, of 213 N. Third St., and of the extended care unit of Fulton County Medical Center, died Monday, May 31, 1999, at the extended care unit.
Born Oct. 9, 1906, in Ayr Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Jessie Mae Mellott Hendershot.
Her husband, Charles Morton Reeder, died in 1972.
She formerly co-owned Ruth's Hat and Dress Shop in McConnellsburg, worked at Sagner Clothing Manufacturing, and was a clerk at the Murphy store in McConnellsburg. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Sideling Hill Christian Church.
