CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A man who was taken to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center near Martinsburg Thursday night after he said he heard voices telling him to kill his boss walked out of the hospital Friday morning, police said.

Police found the man Friday afternoon near the Ranson Park on Mildred Street and returned him to the hospital, said Charles Town Police Officer Mark Johnston.

The Desert Storm veteran was being detained at the hospital on a court order.

The man was taken to the hospital after officers surrounded his East Liberty Street house Thursday evening and apprehended him.
