FREDERICK, Md. - Going 62 in a 40 mph zone late Monday led to a number of charges, including driving on a suspended license, against a Frederick man, Frederick County Sheriff's deputies said.

Michael Alan Baker, 30, also was charged with speeding, turning off headlights to avoid identification and fleeing and eluding in a vehicle and on foot.

At 11:43 p.m., Deputy Troy Barrick noticed a Ford truck speeding on Gas House Pike. When he caught up, the truck's headlights were turned off and it was driven into a driveway where both occupants bailed out, deputies said.

The passenger was apprehended quickly, deputies said. The driver, Baker, was found a short time later hiding in a barn, deputies said.
