April 12, 1999

FUNKSTOWN - Plans have been slow going, but everything will be ready for Funkstown's annual A Day in the Park in conjunction with the National Pike Wagon Train on May 15, organizer Joyce Artz said Monday night.

A flea market and craft show will start at 10 a.m.

The event will feature a full day of entertainment, including The Duffeys, a talent show for children and a trick roper.

The Country Seasons will perform two shows, at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The West End Lions Club will put on its annual pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the wagoneers. It will be open to the public.
