Two employees of Fred's Plumbing and Heating who stopped their truck along Shinham Road Monday morning were reportedly shot at by the property owner.

On Tuesday, the property owner swore out a trespassing charge against Fred Younker, owner of the truck and one of the two men on Shinham Road Monday during the shooting incident, according to court records.

Stefan Wayne Morris, 24, of 16515 Shinham Road, was charged Monday with one count each of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

The incident at 9:30 a.m. Monday occurred when the two workers pulled over and got out of their truck. They were sitting by their truck when Morris approached, deputies said.


One shot was fired when Morris came back a second time to tell the men again to get off his property.

Morris was released on personal recognizance by a Washington County District Court commissioner on Monday.

Two schools were vandalized in the past two days, according to Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

A broken window was discovered at Boonsboro Middle School on Tuesday morning. A baseball bat apparently had been used.

The loss was estimated at $200.

On Monday, three windows were found broken at Williamsport High School at a loss of $300.

Someone stole 53 five dollar lottery tickets Monday from Bingo Paradise at 18728 North Village Shopping Center, Maryland State Police said.

On Monday, Selena Ann Baker, 25, of 12 Elizabeth St., was charged with misdemeanor theft after a pair of Nikes was taken from the Rack Room at Prime Outlets, Maryland State Police said.
