Nonprofit donates clothes to center

Deafnet delivered several truckloads of used and new clothing to the Adventist Community Service Center and to the Salvation Army on Monday. Men's, women's and children's clothing were donated by friends of Deafnet.

Deafnet Association Inc. is a nonprofit agency that was established in 1987 to promote the concerns of the deaf and hearing impaired. Deafnet offers interpreter services and sign language courses in the community.

Deafnet's next monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m., at 539 W. Howard St., in Hagerstown. The guest speaker will be Trooper 1st Class K. George of the Maryland State Police. The public is invited.
