Brown-Artz

Denise Brown and Ragan Artz announce their engagement.

Ms. Brown is the daughter of Lawrence and Sandy Kendall of Greencastle, Pa. She is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She is employed by Staples Distribution Center in Hagerstown, as a coordinator.

Mr. Artz is the son of Frank and Sally Artz of Hagerstown. He is a graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College. He is employed by Allegheny Power in Hagerstown, as a lineman.

A June 10, 2000, wedding is planned.

Gatz-Hawbecker

Carrie Gatz and Steven Hawbecker wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Gatz is the daughter of Allen and Sharon Gatz of Butler, Pa. She is a 1989 graduate of Butler High School and a 1995 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics education. She is a mathematics teacher for Washington County Board of Education at South Hagerstown High School.

Mr. Hawbecker is the son of Mary Hawbecker of Hagerstown and Allan Hawbecker of Marlowe, W.Va. He is a 1985 graduate of Clear Spring High School, a 1987 graduate of Hagerstown Junior College with an associate in arts degree in engineering and a 1989 graduate of University of Maryland with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He is a mechanical engineer with U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.

An Aug. 12, 2000, wedding is planned.

Hogue-Jobson

Mr. and Mrs. James Hogue of Hagerstown wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Elise Hogue, to Joe Jobson, son of Ralph and Mary Jobson of Sykesville, Md.

Miss Hogue is a 1989 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and a 1993 graduate of Salisbury State University with a degree in accounting. She is employed as the budget officer of Worcester County.

Mr. Jobson is a 1987 graduate of Liberty High School and attended Catonsville Community College and Salisbury State University. He is president of J&V Investment Co.

An Oct. 16 wedding is planned in Ocean City, Md.

Knepper-Taylor

Larry and Sandy Knepper of Waynesboro, Pa., wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Holly Knepper, to Matthew Palmer Taylor, son of Rob Taylor of Chambersburg, Pa., and Page Palmer of Vicksburg, Miss.

Ms. Knepper is a 1996 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School and attends Hagerstown Business College. She is employed as a medical assistant with Waynesboro Family Medical Associates.

Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Mississippi School of Mathematics and Science in Columbus, Miss., and a 1998 graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute in Columbia, Md. He is employed as an automobile technician by Lehman Volvo in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

A July 2000 wedding is being planned.

Yost-Yentsch

Jamie and Kim Yost of Clear Spring wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Dawn Yost, to Spc. Daniel Joseph Yentsch, son of Gary and Katie Yentsch of Pinesburg.

Miss Yost is a 1998 graduate of Clear Spring High School. She is employed by Richards Diner and is pursuing a degree in nursing.

Spc. Yentsch is a 1996 graduate of Williamsport High School. He is serving in the U.S. Army as a military policeman, stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and will soon begin training for special forces.

An April wedding in Hawaii is planned.

Turner-Moore

Brenda Kay Turner and David Lee Moore wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Turner is the daughter of Betty Kerlin of Hagerstown and the late Charles Kerlin. She attended South Hagerstown High School.

Mr. Moore is the son of Bettie Moore of Williamsport. He is a 1982 graduate of Williamsport High School. He is employed as a regulator by West Manufacturing in Hagerstown.

No wedding date has been set.
