Robert J. Truax

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Robert John Truax, 64, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, March 21, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born March 19, 1935, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Geraldine Elizabeth Keller Truax Lawrence of Berkeley Springs, and the late Clyde William Truax.

He attended Hancock High School, Hancock.

A real estate developer and builder, he owned and operated Truax Contracting in Berkeley Springs.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a Protestant.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1483, Berkeley Springs; and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 824, Winchester, Va.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diane Marie Householder Truax; five daughters, Christy Emerick, Lisa Truax-Mason and Robin Truax, all of Berkeley Springs, Jeanne Truax of Martinsburg, and Kathleen Custer-Rusinko of Newfield, N.J.; two brothers, Clarence Truax of Stanley, Va., and Lewis Truax of Hancock; two grandsons, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Junior Truax.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Hennis H. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, whichwill be open from 9:30 a.m.

Vickie P. Green

Vickie P. Green, 46, of 1311 Lindsay Lane, Hagerstown, died Monday, March 21, 1999, at her home.

Born April 19, 1952, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Laura Norton Peyton of Hagerstown and the late Floyd M. Peyton.

She retired from the Montgomery County Public School System after 27 years as records management supervisor.

She was a member of Clifton Park Baptist Church, Silver Spring, Md.

She was a member of the National Clown Association and since 1976 was a professional clown known as "Bubbles."

She was a member of Little Heiskel Ski Club, Hagerstown.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael V. Green; one daughter, Laura J. Knepper of Williamsport; one brother, Mel Peyton of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Jane Peyton.

A memorial service will be held today at 8 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Anna Bellechilders will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gloria L. Tosten

Gloria Lee Tosten, 71, of 312 Woodpoint Ave., died Sunday, March 21, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.

Born May 7, 1927, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late George Lee and Margaret Marie Miller Pickett.

She was a member of Christ's Reformed Church UCC.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Edward Tosten; one daughter, Gloria D. Smith, of Boonsboro; one son, Glenn L. Tosten of Millington, Md.; two sisters, Carolyn M. Eichelberger and Phyllis A. Lushbaugh, both of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Pearlina Routzahn; and a brother, Thomas E. Pickett.

Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont, Md.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Chester H. Foreman

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chester H. Foreman, 88, of 9761 Circle Drive, Chambersburg, died Sunday, March 21, 1999, at his home.

Born Jan. 22, 1911, in Edenville, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Annie Johns Foreman.

He was a former farmer; and last worked for T. B. Woods.

He was a veteran of the 8th Air Force 364th Fighter Group during World War II.

He was a life member of D.A.V.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Burkholder Foreman, whom he married in 1950; one daughter, Jane L. Foreman of Middleburg, Va.; two sons, Stephen C. Foreman and Bruce A. Foreman, both of Edenville.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Pa. The Rev. John Rauhut will officiate.

Arrangements are by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, St. Thomas.

Randy M. Hamil

MOUNT POCONO, Pa. - Randy Mitchell Hamil, 46, of P.O. Box 525, Mount Pocono, died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at his home.

Born Feb. 12, 1953, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Bruce Garland and Helen Jean Hamil.

He was a machinist.
