Lions Club holds Variety Show

The Clear Spring Lions Club will present its 48th annual Variety Show, "All For Fun, and Fun For All," on March 12 and 13 at 8 p.m., and on March 14 at 2 p.m. in the Clear Spring High School auditorium.

Music director Burma Miles will guide the 40-member chorus through songs from the '40s to the present. Comedy skits ranging from Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor to "Charlie McCarthy & Edgar Burgan," will be performed.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for students, and free for pre-school children. Advance tickets can be purchased from any Clear Spring Lion, or at Sunrise Handi-Mart.

All proceeds will benefit community projects and the scholarship fund.

Garden specialist to speak on perennials

Dennis Helfrick, garden specialist at Lowe's, will speak about the "Top 10 Perennials for Our Area," at the Clear Spring Garden Club meeting on March 25 at 7 p.m.
