Weaver-Kight

Katherine Elizabeth Kight and James Lawrence Weaver were married Saturday, July 18, 1998, at Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Kight of Elkton, Md., formerly of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Weaver of Thomaston, Maine.

The bride is a 1986 graduate of Smithsburg High School and a 1994 graduate of University of Maryland with a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering. She is an engineer with Advanced Engineering and Research Associates Inc. in Arlington, Va.

The bridegroom is a 1987 graduate of Georges Valley High School, received a bachelor of science degree in physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992, a master of science degree in electrical engineering from University of Maryland, and is a 1999 candidate for a doctoral degree in electrical engineering at University of Maryland. He is a research fellow at Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.

Germann-Gibney

Gretchen L. Gibney and Kenneth P. Germann were married Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at St. Agnes Church in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

The bride is the daughter of Gregory L. and Lois G. Gibney of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. Paul J. and Dianne Germann of Columbia, Mo.

The bride is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, holds a bachelor of science degree in music education from Shepherd College and a master's degree in music performance from Northern Arizona University. She is employed as a teacher in Brevard County, Fla.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Madawaska High School, holds a bachelor of science degree in aeronautical engineering from U.S. Air Force Academy and a master of science degree in aerospace engineering from Mississippi State University. He is a joint stars lead air frame flight test engineer for United States Air Force.

They live in Palm Bay, Fla.

Wolf-Loughran

Sydney Christian Loughran and Andreas Wolf were married Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, at Saint Joseph Chapel, Seton Hill College in Greensburg, Pa., by the Rev. Stephen C. West.

The bride is the daughter of the Honorable and Mrs. Charles H. Loughran of Greensburg and the granddaughter of Sarah Cushwa Lyon of Hagerstown and the late Charles D. Lyon. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wolf of Winter Park, Fla.

The bride is a graduate of Sweetbriar College and of Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. She is an assistant brand manager in marketing with the Gillette Co. in Boston.

The bridegroom is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and of Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. He is employed as a sales manager by Cavendish Farms in Boston.

They live in Boston.

Scholl-Corderman

Cheryl Lynn Corderman and Philip John Scholl were married Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at Christ Reformed Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Rebecca Corderman of Smithsburg. The bridegroom is the son of John and Andrea Scholl of Shamokin, Pa.

The bride is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelor of science degree in health education and received a master's degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman's University. She is an occupational therapist at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, Va.

The bridegroom received a bachelor of science degree in biology from King's College. He is employed by Forest Therapeutics as a territory representative.

The bride is the daughter of Jesse Englehart of Smithsburg and Patsy Englehart of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of the late Ralph and Martha Reeder.

The bride is a graduate of Clear Spring High School. She is employed as a medical secretary with Neurosurgical Specialists and Diagnostic Imaging, both in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He is employed as a truck driver with Weiss Bros. Paper and as a sports producer with WARK radio, both in Hagerstown.

Abbott-Varnadoe

Tamer Diane Varnadoe and Christopher Shannon Abbott were united in marriage Monday, Jan. 4 at Sandals Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The new Mrs. Abbott is the daughter of Thomas Varnadoe of Stockbridge, Ga., and Janet Varnadoe of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Abe Abbott of Keedysville and Merline Abbott of Martinsburg, W.Va.

The new Mrs. Abbott is a 1986 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She is an executive secretary with Quebecor Printing in Martinsburg.

Mr. Abbott is a 1986 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He is a foreman with Atlas Plumbing Co. in Manassas, Va.

Sprecher-Nicodemus

Marisa Anne Nicodemus and Bradley Eugene Sprecher were married Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998, at Beaver Creek Christian Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Rob and Karen Nicodemus of Williamsport. The bridegroom is the son of Raymond and Carolyn Sprecher of Smithsburg.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Williamsport High School. She attended Hagerstown Community College and is employed at Surrey Child Care Center as a teacher's assistant.

The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Smithsburg High School. He is employed by the state of Maryland at Western Maryland Hospital Center.
