Gary A. Newman

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Gary A. Newman, of West Palm Beach, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999.

He was the son of Marian Jacks and Paul Newman.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Deborah and Ginger; and three grandchildren, Darren, Dustin and Randa.

Services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Quattlebaum-Holleman-Burse Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Ave., West Palm Beach.

The family will receive friends Tuesday two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.

Donald L. Shank

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Donald L. "Don" Shank, 61, of 12085 Country Club Road, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.

Born Sept. 11, 1937, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Rupert H. and Irene M. Barkdoll Shank.

He was a 1956 graduate of Waynesboro High School.

He was first employed as an electrician by A. G. Crunkleton of Greencastle, Pa. He then worked as an electrician for various construction companies. For the past 13 years, he was employed as a superintendent by Prime Electric Company of Baltimore.

He served with the Waynesboro National Guard.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.

He was a member of Order of the Owls Nest 1073; Eagles Club Inc.; and Waynesboro Fish and Game Association, all of Waynesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Gutshall Shank, whom he married Oct. 13, 1956; a daughter, Ann "Beth" Johnson of Evergreen, Colo.; a son, Thomas O. Shank of Waynesboro; two brothers, Robert H. Shank of Waynesboro and James O. Shank of Westminster, Md.; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebbecca H. Shank, in 1989.

A memorial service will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Lynn D. Trutt will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro at the convenience of the family.

There will be no public viewing; however, the family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 104 N. Potomac St., Waynesboro, PA 17268; or Alexander Hamilton Memorial Library, 45 E. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Paul H. Fansler

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Paul H. Fansler, 73, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore.

Born April 24, 1925, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late John R. and Pearl Hensley Fansler.

He was a retired engineer from C & P Telephone Company.

He served as a U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II.

He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was a scout master of Boy Scout Troop 25.

He was a member of Telephone Pioneers; and Senior Citizens Center.

He is survived by his wife, Frances M. Herrell Fansler; a son, Todd Fansler of Martinsburg; a brother, John R. Fansler Jr. of Martinsburg; a grandson; and two nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. Dr. G. Edward Grove will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lillian E. Kee

Services for Lillian Elizabeth Kee, 73, of 450 Park Place, Hagerstown, who died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at King's Apostle Church, 125 W. Bethel St. Assistant pastor, Darin Mency will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Services, Frederick.
