Cook-Barger

Stephanie Cook and Denny Barger wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Cook is the daughter of Ralph L. and Gudrun Cook of Hagerstown. She is enrolled in the radiography program at Hagerstown Community College and is employed by All-Ways Communications in Hagerstown.

Mr. Barger is the son of Allen and Tonya Flurie of Hagerstown. He is employed by Aeroquip Corp. in Williamsport.

A spring wedding is planned.

Farnen-Beachley

Elizabeth Jane Farnen and David C. Beachley wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Farnen is the daughter of Leo F. Komorowski Sr. of Hagerstown and Jene L. Meier of Hagerstown.

Mr. Beachley is the son of Mary Ellen and Donovan R. Beachley Jr. of Hagerstown.

Hardy-Jay

Michael L. Hardy and Jacqueline H. Hardy of Hagerstown wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Lorraine Hardy, to Henry M. Jay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Zelodis Jay of Oxford, N.C.

Miss Hardy is a 1992 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, a 1996 and 1998 graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of arts degree in American history and African-American studies and a master of arts degree in secondary social sciences. She is employed by Durham Academy in Durham, N.C., as an upper school history teacher and by UNC-Chapel Hill as a summer school instructor.

Mr. Jay is a 1994 graduate of J.F. Webb High School in Oxford and a 1998 graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications and a minor in history. He is employed by The News and Observer in Raleigh, N.C., as a marketing coordinator.

Hollins-McLaughlin

Lori Ann Hollins and Carl Douglas McLaughlin wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Hollins is the daughter of Walter Hollins of Hagerstown and Varnice Bassfield of Bloomfield, N.J. She is a 1987 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She is employed as a medical billing specialist.

Mr. McLaughlin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie L. McLaughlin of Greensboro, N.C. He is a 1992 graduate of North Carolina A&T University. He is employed as a mortgage processor/closer.

An April 17 wedding is planned.

Kesselring-Eichelberger

Nikki S. (Fouke) Kesselring and Darrin E. Eichelberger wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Kesselring is the daughter of Nevin L. and Bonnie S. Fouke of Hagerstown. She is employed by Frederick, Seibert and Associates Inc. in Hagerstown.

Mr. Eichelberger is the son of Richard E. "Gene" and Barbara J. Eichelberger of Sharpsburg. He is employed by Washington County Water and Sewer Department in Williamsport.

Ms. Kline is the daughter of Robert and Sylvia Kline of Hagerstown. She has an associate's degree in business administration and is employed as a chiropractic assistant with Madeira Chiropractic in Chambersburg, Pa.

Mr. Boutelle is the son of Ellen Boutelle of Middletown, Md. and the late Richard S. Boutelle. He is a self-employed home improvement contractor and real estate investor.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Hoover of Clear Spring and Mr. and Mrs. George F. Shank of Hagerstown wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Spring Renee Shank, to Gregory Raymond Roth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl M. Roth Jr. of Reisterstown, Md.

Miss Shank is a 1994 graduate of Smithsburg High School and a 1997 graduate of Hagerstown Community College, with an associates in applied science degree in early childhood education. She is the owner of Spring's Kids Home Day Care.

Mr. Roth is a 1991 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1995 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a project engineer with Crisplant Inc. of Frederick, Md.

Tyson-Wert

Mr. Wert is a 1982 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Easton, Pa. He also is employed by Victaulic Co. of America.

Willard-Balliet

Dolores "Dee" Willard and Ralph E. Balliet of Rouzerville, Pa., wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Willard is a retired homemaker and former manager of a jewelry store in Frederick, Md.

Mr. Balliet is retired from the U.S. Army and Federal Bureau of Prisons.
