Stereo equipment stolen from car

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Stereo equipment valued at $3,000 was stolen or damaged on Thursday from a sports car parked at the Chambersburg Mall, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The passenger side window of a Mitsubishi 3000GT was shattered between 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., police said.

A Bazooka sub-woofer speaker system and a Pioneer amp were stolen from the rear of the car, police said.

The thief tried unsuccessfully to remove the stereo from the console, police said.
