Pa. man hospitalized after apparent drive-by shooting

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man was hospitalized Saturday after an apparent drive-by shooting outside a private club in Chambersburg, according to police and hospital officials.

Johnnie L. Brown, 23, of 461 E. Queen St., was near the intersection of Hollywell Avenue and South Street, in the vicinity of the Laurel Lodge, when he was shot in the leg, said Cpl. Richard Swartz of the Chambersburg Police Department.

Brown was in satisfactory condition at Chambersburg Hospital late Saturday, according to a nursing supervisor.

Laurel Lodge is an IBPOE of W Elks lodge, Swartz said.

Police were investigating the incident, believed to be a drive-by shooting, on Saturday, he said.

No arrests have been made.
