Nellie P. Schultz

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Nellie P. Ritz Schultz, formerly of Warfordsburg, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at Brownsville General Hospital. She had made her home with her daughter in Brownsville, Pa., and was a resident of Country Care Manor at Fayette City, Pa.

Born Aug. 7, 1904, in Warfordsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Agnes Booth Ritz.

She was a retired teacher from Southern Fulton School District.

She was a member of Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Richardson of Brownsville; a foster brother, Earl C. McCardell of Upper Strousburg, Pa.; a granddaughter, Nancy Mayo of Latrobe, Pa.; a grandson, James Richardson of Stockdale, Pa.; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen V. Jenkins; and a brother, Guy D. Ritz.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. The Rev. John Barlow, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from noon to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Local arrangements were by Confer Funeral Home, Brownsville.

Virginia A. Haletsky

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Virginia Atlee Haletsky, 79, of Charles Town, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Charles Town.

Born Feb. 27, 1919, in Covesville, Va., she was the daughter of the late John F. and Josie A. Critzer Long.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Daniel Haletsky.

She worked as a PBX operator and receptionist at WTOP-TV, Channel 9, in Washington, D.C.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Rosemarie Walsh of Ranson, W.Va.; a son, Chris Haletsky of Kearneysville, W.Va.; two grandsons, Robert Daniel Walsh and James Robert Walsh; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Colleen Haun.

Private services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Arrangements are by Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson.
