Road improvements planned

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Roadway improvements in Berkeley County, W.Va., are among more than 21 miles of work being advertised for the Division of Highways' Dec. 8 bid opening, according to Governor Cecil H. Underwood.

Slated for first-time paving are 3.86 miles of Buck Hill Road and 3.4 miles of Union Corners Road.

In addition, roadwork will soon be under way in Morgan County. A $317,512 contract was awarded to Craig Paving Inc. of Hagerstown for 7.49 miles of River Road.
