Michael L. Strang

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Michael Lee Strang, 27, of 4555 Cold Spring Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health since an automobile accident in August, 1996.

Born Jan. 8, 1971, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Goldie Knouse Strang of Fayetteville and the late James Edgar Strang.

He attended Fairfield High School, Fairfield, Pa.

He had been employed by N.V.R. Building Products, Thurmont, Md.

He was a member of South Mountain Fish and Game Association; National Rifle Association; and North American Hunting Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Kisha M. Strang of South Mountain, Pa.; a sister, Laura V. Stine of South Mountain; a brother, Rusty E. Strang of South Mountain; three aunts; an uncle, and cousins.

Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor David L. Keener will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waynesboro Special Olympics, P.O. Box 125, Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Christine J. Rohrer

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Christine J. Rohrer, 23, of 391 Elder St., died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at her home.

Born Jan. 23, 1975, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Henry L. and Barbara J. Biesecker Beckner of Chambersburg.

She was a 1993 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and Franklin County Vocational-Technical School, Chambersburg.

She had been employed with Ausherman Brothers in Chambersburg since 1993.

She attended Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, where she was active in Women's Volleyball and the Tent Makers Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Travis E. Rohrer, whom she married May 31, 1997; a sister, Twilla J. Garber of Chambersburg; four brothers, Gerald H. Beckner and James B. Beckner, both of Chambersburg, David R. Beckner of Myersville, Md., and Bradley C. Beckner of Waynesboro; maternal grandparents, C. Roy and Emma Benedict Biesecker of Waynesboro; paternal grandmother, Rosa Jamison Beckner of Roanoke, Va.; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen E. Beckner.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Kevin Witter and the Rev. David A. Erisman will officiate. Burial will be in Hades Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg; and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Herschell G. Henrietta

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Herschell G. Henrietta, 84, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at Canterbury of Shepherdstown (W.Va.).

Born Aug. 25, 1914, in Fairmont, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles D. and Emma Howard Henrietta.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Henrietta.

He is survived by a close friend, Ethel T. Price of Martinsburg.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. Henrietta.

Services and burial will be private.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Jerry W. Smith Sr.

MAUGANSVILLE - Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Smith Sr., 48, of 13834 Village Mill Drive, who died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, will be today at 7:30 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Ed Hampton will officiate.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jessie B. McAllister

BOONSBORO - Jessie B. McAllister, 86, a resident of Reeders Memorial Home, and formerly of 21380 Mount Lena Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the home.

Born April 11, 1912, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry Allen and Eva Burger Barnhart.

She had retired in 1975 from Pangborn Corp. in Hagerstown.

She was a member of Mount Lena United Methodist Church.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Marie McAllister; two sisters, and five brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Elza Hurst will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

William L. Haller

BRUNSWICK, Md. - William Laurence Haller, 77, of 605 Brunswick St., died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at Colton Villa Nursing Center, Hagerstown.

Born Oct. 30, 1921, in Frederick, Md., he was the son of the late Amos B. L. and Katherine Angevine Haller.
