Pa. man killed in crash

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - A Robertsdale, Pa., man was killed and three passengers were injured when his vehicle collided head-on with another on U.S. 522 north of McConnellsburg Sunday morning, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said Lewellyn Watkins, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene by Fulton County Coroner Daryl Heckman.

Watkins' passengers, Violet Watkins, 59 of Robertsdale, Angela Watkins, 32 of Hustontown, Pa., and Randy Watkins, 34 of Hustontown all received moderate injuries.

Angela Watkins and Randy Watkins were flown to Connemaugh Hospital in Johnstown, Pa. Reports on their conditions were unavailable.

Violet Watkins was taken to the Fulton County Medical Center, where she was hospitalized, police said.

Police said the accident occurred when Loren Reeder, 33, of McConnellsburg drove his vehicle across the yellow line and struck Watkins' car.

A third car, driven by Linda Hann, 44, of Fort Littleton was struck by flying debris, police said.

After impact, Watkins' car spun 180 degrees before sliding off the road and coming to rest in a culvert.
