No. 7 Martinsburg at Jefferson

Notes: With Fort Hill looming next week, the Bulldogs need a win to stay in the race for a Class AAA playoff spot. Martinsburg is tied for the 16th and final spot ... The Cougars have lost five straight, but have played well the last two weeks. They lost to Musselman in two overtimes and were tied with Fort Hill last week when the Sentinels scored twice in 30 seconds just before halftime.

North Hagerstown at Smithsburg (Saturday)

  • Records: North Hagerstown Hubs 1-6; Smithsburg Leopards 2-5.
  • 1997 result: North Hagerstown, 39-12.

Notes: The Hubs managed just 42 yards total offense in a 12-0 loss to Brunswick last Friday ... Smithsburg held Middletown to its lowest offensive output of the season in a 28-0 loss ... North's win last season broke a six-game losing streak against Smithsburg. The Leopards lead the series, 8-3.
