Rotary Clubs offering chance to study abroad

Rotary Clubs in District 7350 of Rotary International are receiving study abroad applications for the 1999-2000 academic year.

Students in grades 10 to 12 are eligible to apply for the program which involves a year abroad studying at the high school level and living with one or more host families under the sponsorship of a local Rotary Club.

The applicants will be selected on the basis of a written application and a personal interview conducted by Rotary Club of District 7350 Youth Exchange Committee.

The Rotary Clubs of District 7350 are exchanging students with these countries: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Venezuela.

Fourteen students from across the district are experiencing the 1998-1999 academic year in another country. Applications must be received by John Koontz, 711 S. Juliana St., Bedford, Pa. 15522, District Youth Committee by Saturday, Nov. 7.
