Hardinge-Ridenour

Peggy Lou Ridenour and Thomas Hunt Hardinge III were married Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, at The Morrison House in Alexandria, Va.

The bride is the daughter of Mary L. Ridenour of Hagerstown and the late David H. Ridenour. The bridegroom is the son of Tom and Pam Hardinge of Hagerstown.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Smithsburg High School and Washington County Vocational/Technical Center and was a drama major at West Virginia University. She is privately employed as a nurse who practices as a first surgical assistant nurse for area surgeons and is a surgical technologist for Washington County Hospital and Robinwood Medical Center. She also is an actress in local theater companies.

The bridegroom is a 1972 graduate of Mercersburg Academy and a 1976 graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., with a bachelor of science degree. He is vice president of sales and marketing with Statton Furniture Co. in Hagerstown.

They live in Hagerstown.

Kelly-Klotz

Trenna Leigh Klotz and Brian Foster Kelly were married Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Shirley Klotz of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of J. Brian and Phoebe Kelly of Church Hill, Md.

The bride holds a bachelor of science degree in biology. She is employed by Janssen Pharmaceutica of New Brunswick, N.J., in pharmaceutical sales.

The bridegroom also holds a bachelor of science degree in biology. He is employed by Glaxo Wellcome of Upper Saddle River, N.J., in pharmaceutical sales.

They live in Frederick, Md.

Sines-Burger

Kelli Lynne Burger and Terry Lee Sines Jr. were married Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Clear Spring.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia and John Poffenberger of Marlowe, W.Va., and Robert and Theresa Burger of Clear Spring. The bridegroom is the son of Terry and Joyce Sines of Hagerstown.

The bride is a 1985 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She is president of American Paving & Sealing Inc. in Clear Spring.

The bridegroom attended Clear Spring High School. He is self-employed with American Paving & Sealing Inc.

They live in Clear Spring.

 

Anderson-Canfield

Denise Lee Canfield and Barry Scott Anderson were married Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, at Holy Trinity Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg.

The bride is the daughter of Charles "Butch" and Carmen Canfield of Sharpsburg. The bridegroom is the son of Dorothy and Ralph Anderson Sr. of Martinsburg, W.Va.

The bride is a 1986 graduate of Boonsboro High School. She is employed as a calibrations assistant at Zeltex Inc. in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a 1988 graduate of Martinsburg High School. He is service manager at Twigg Cycles Inc. in Hagerstown.

They live in Inwood, W.Va.

Teresa Gooden and James Hines were married Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Martinsburg, W.Va.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gooden of Martinsburg. The bridegroom is the son of Glenda Hines of Martinsburg and the late Fred E. Hines.

The bride is a 1986 graduate of Martinsburg High School. She is employed with the U.S. Coast Guard.

The bridegroom is a 1985 graduate of Martinsburg High School. He is employed with Internal Revenue Service.

They live in Martinsburg.

Fowler-Schmeck

Amanda Dee Schmeck and David Wayne Fowler Jr. were married Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Rodney Strong Vineyards in Healdsburg, Calif.

The bride is the daughter of Steven and Peggy Schmeck of Santa Rosa, Calif. The bridegroom is the son of David Fowler and Karen Swisher of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

The bride is a graduate of Santa Rosa High School and University of California at San Diego with a certificate in radiology. She is employed by Clarksville Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, Tenn., as an ultrasonographer.

The bridegroom is a 1989 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. He served with the 3rd Armored Division of the U.S. Army for seven years, including duty in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. He is employed in industrial maintenance at Bridgestone Metalpha.

They live in Clarksville.

Snyder-Potter

Crystal Lynn Potter and Michael LeeRoy Snyder were married Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Judy Potter of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of John and Nell Snyder of Roaring Springs, Pa.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and a 1994 graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

The bridegroom is a 1990 graduate of Central High School in Martinsburg, Pa., and received his associate's degree in law enforcement from Central Texas College. He is a patrol officer with Prince George's County Police Department in Palmer Park, Md.

They live in Laurel, Md.

Janes-Clopper

Wanda Carol Greenawalt Clopper and Bradley Guy Janes were united in marriage Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at Arden United Methodist Church in Martinsburg, W.Va.

The bride is the daughter of Penny and Erv Baker of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Doc and Jackie Greenawalt of Greencastle, Pa. The bridegroom is the son of L. Allen Janes of Martinsburg and the late Louise Barney Janes.

The new Mrs. Janes is a 1978 graduate of Greencastle High School. She is employed by First Data Merchant Services in Hagerstown.

Mr. Janes is a 1976 graduate of Martinsburg High School and a 1978 graduate of Potomac State College. He manages the Buckhorn Restaurant at Travelport Truck Stop in Greencastle.
