September 28, 1998

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police said a Chambersburg man was killed Sunday night in a one-vehicle accident on Pa. 233 in Greene Township, Pa.

Franklin County Chief Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Conner said Juan Lepiz, 26, of 5384 Gloss Road, died of severe head trauma in the 7:35 p.m. accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Lepiz was driving a 1988 Ford Escort south on Pa 233 two miles south of U.S. 30 when he drove off the west side of the road. The car then crossed over into the northbound lane, went back across the road again and hit a tree off the west side of the road, police said.

The police report said the driver's side door hit the tree and the car then rolled onto its roof. Lepiz was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
