Sachs-Stottlemyer

Amy Lewis Stottlemyer and Stephen M. Sachs were married Saturday, June 20, 1998, at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in Foxville, Md.

The bride is the daughter of W. Melvin and Mary M. Lewis of Smithsburg. The bridegroom is the son of Theron and Marti Sachs of Mount Union, Pa., and the late Betty M. Sachs.

The bride is a 1984 graduate of Middletown High School and a 1987 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse in Washington County Hospital's operating room.

Dr. Sachs is a 1970 graduate of Mount Union Area High School, a 1974 graduate of Juniata College and a 1978 graduate of Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University. He completed a surgical residency with University of Rochester at Strong Memorial Hospital and a vascular surgery fellowship at Emory University. He is president of Hagerstown Surgical Clinic.

They live in Hagerstown.

Strong-Powell

Kristin Dianne Powell and Mark J. Strong were married Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sandra Powell of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Thomas and Nancy Strong of Arnold, Md.

The bride is a 1987 graduate of Goucher College with a bachelor of arts degree in French and a 1997 graduate of Towson State University with a master of arts degree in teaching. She is employed as a French and Spanish teacher by Baltimore County Public Schools.

The bridegroom is a 1988 graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice/psychology and a 1991 graduate of University of Baltimore School of Law with a juris doctor degree. He is an attorney with Cohen and Dunn, P.A., in Baltimore.

Carmen Joanne Henson and Howard Leslie Stotler were married Friday, June 19, 1998, in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Wilbur D. and Bessie E. Henson of Williamsport. The bridegroom is the son of Howard D. and Lorretta V. Stotler of Keedysville.

The bride is a 1987 graduate of Williamsport High School.

The bridegroom is a 1985 graduate of Boonsboro High School and a 1987 graduate of Hagerstown Junior College with a degree in biology. He is employed with Life Technologies Inc. in Frederick, Md.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Dorothy Cook of Martinsburg, W.Va. The bridegroom is the son of John Thomas Stump of Baltimore and Ruth Stump of Hagerstown.

Both the bride and bridegroom are employed by Garden State Tanning in Williamsport.

Virginia Mullendore and Richard Stallings were united in marriage Saturday, April 25, 1998, in an outdoor ceremony at the Mullendore house in Gapland.

The bride is the daughter of Lillian Roberts and the late Walter Roberts. The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stallings.

The bride is retired from Reeders Memorial Home and is a homemaker.
