Navy Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth G. Beck, whose wife, Johanna, is the daughter of John and Joy Rothen of Mount Airy, Md., recently visited France while on a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf aboard aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, home-ported in Norfolk, Va.

Navy Seaman Jamie L. Myers, whose former guardian is Joan P. Toms of Thurmont, Md., recently visited France while on a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf aboard aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, home ported in Norfolk, Va. Myers is a 1997 graduate of Catoctin High School.

Cadet Thomas B. Reigeluth, son of Marcia R. Hirt-Reigeluth of Frederick, Md., has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Advanced Camp at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. Reigeluth is a 1995 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick.

Navy Airman Brandee S. Randoll, daughter of James A. Buckley of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Cheryl A. Cunningham of Clear Spring, recently was promoted to her present rank while serving aboard aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, homeported in Bremerton, Wash. Randoll is a 1992 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Craig E. Kirkpatrick, son of James B. and Diane L. Kirkpatrick of Chambersburg, Pa., recently reported for duty with Naval Forces Marianas, Guam. Kirkpatrick is a 1991 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

Coast Guard Cadet James T. Corbett, son of Timothy M. and Kathryn A. Corbett of Middletown, Md., recently enrolled at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Conn.

Marine Cpl. Harry Fowler of Chambersburg, Pa., son of Kathy A. Fowler, also of Chambersburg, recently participated in Baltic Challenge '98, a two-week exercise with troops of European countries, including Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Sweden, while assigned to Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Marine Division, Harrisburg, Pa. Fowler is a 1993 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.
