KEYSER, W. Va. - Andrea Nelson scored seven service aces, 23 digs, 15 kills and nine service points Monday to lead Hagerstown Community College defeat Potomac State, 15-5, 9-15, 15-1, 15-9.

Tera Martin added 40 assists, 13 service points and 11 digs for the Hawks (6-4) while Natalie Linn had 12 digs, 10 kills, nine service points and four blocks. Jennifer Johnson had 12 digs and eight service points. Molly Schoenberg had 13 kills.

Shepherd 3, Salem Teikyo 0

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Senior captain Amanda Schmidt led the Shepherd College with 18 kills and 13 digs in a 15-8, 15-7, 15-8 victory over Salem-Teikyo.

Charity Greenfield added 11 kills and 19 digs, while Cassie Leonard had 34 assists and 13 kills for Shepherd (6-0, 4-0 in the West Virginia Conference).

Hood College 3, Wilson 2

Hood College lost the first two games before rebounding to sweep the final three for a 11-15, 9-15, 15-5, 15-12, 15-7 victory over Wilson College.

Jenny Ferris collected 20 kills and 14 digs, while Amanda Meyers added seven kills and six digs for Hood College (2-5).

CVCS 3, Heritage Academy 1

Jeannette Kidd scored 12 service points in Heritage Academy's 15-7, 15-6, 13-15, 15-7 loss to Cumberland Valley Christian School. Megan Simpson added nine service points and five assists for Heritage Academy (0-3), while Stephanie Wann had nine assists and four kills.

Smithsburg 3, S. Hagerstown 0

Kelli Martin scored nine service aces, 16 points, 14 assists to lead Smithsburg to a 15-3, 15-2, 15-7 sweep of South Hagerstown. Jennelle Stouffer added nine service points to help Smithsburg (2-0, 1-0), while Carey Brennan scored 11 kills, two blocks and four service points. Smithsburg also swept the JV match.

Southern Fulton 3, Hancock 2

HANCOCK - Summer Beal passed out 14 assists, while Amanda Bingaman collected 10 kills, four blocks and four aces in Hancock's five-game loss to Southern Fulton.

Southern Fulton managed a 15-13, 10-15, 15-3, 5-15, 15-11 victory over Hancock (1-1).

Christi Barnard had eight assists and four aces, Heidi Moats added four kills and four aces and Rebecca Thomas had five kills for Hancock.

Southern Fulton also won the JV match 15-2 and 15-6.

McConnellsburg 2, F-Metal 0

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - McConnellsburg posted a double shutout in a 15-0, 15-0 sweep of Fannett-Metal. Alicia Newman scored 11 service points and eight assists, while Renee Baker and Lory Baker added three kills each for McConnellsburg (4-0).

COLUMBIA, Md. - Kevin Berwind scored three goals to help Howard edge Frederick. Matt Flagle scored both goals for Frederick (1-1).

BEDFORD, Pa. - Nick Wolfe finished with two assists to lead McConnellsburg past Bedford. Nathan Horton, Josiah DeShong, Chris Crouch and Ty Kendall had one goal apiece for McConnellsburg.

FREDERICK, Md. - Bobbi Johnson scored three goals to help Jefferson defeat Frederick. Lindsay Edwards scored the other goal for Jefferson (4-0-1). Lisa Smith scored the only goal for Frederick.

Smithsburg 4, Catoctin 3

THURMONT, Md. - Heather Jenkins and Kyley Thompson scored two goals each to help Smithsburg squeeze by Catoctin in overtime. Midfielder Andrea Henson came up with three assists for Smithsburg (4-1). Jefferson outshot Frederick, 23-6.

Tony Castlebuono was the low medalist at 43 to lead Highland View Academy past St. John's at Prospect Hall at Beaver Creek. Dave Ryley was the low medalist for St. John's at 46.

Mason-Dixon wins AAU title

PHILADELPHIA - The Mason-Dixon All-Stars won six games to take the Philly Hoop Challenge championship, an AAU tournament at Drexel University.

Competing for the team were Jamie Rice of St. Maria Goretti, Adam Underkoffler and Mike Buhrman of Chambersburg and Chris Williams from Thomas Johnson.
