2 named to economic development commission

September 09, 1998|By MATTHEW BIENIEK

The Washington County Commissioners named two staff members to the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission.

Two other positions in the five-person office - assistant director and marketing specialist - remain unfilled, said John Howard, executive director of the commission.

Corey E. Stottlemyer was named administrator for the commission and Linda A. Spence was named administrative specialist, said County Administrator Rodney Shoop.

The commission administrator primarily works as an office manager, said Howard. The administrator also supervises the administrative specialist, who does clerical and secretarial work.

The appointments continue a reorganization begun in April shortly after the resignations of two longtime commission employees - Beverly A. Baccala, who had eight years with the commission and Sharon W. Disque, commission coordinator, who had been with the commission for 12 years.
