Hearings set on schools plan

The Washington County Board of Education will hold two public hearings next week to gather input on the first draft of a long-term plan for public schools.

The first hearing will be held Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at North Hasgerstown High School. The second hearing will be held Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at Clear Spring High School.

Those wishing to speak at the hearings may contact the Schools Superintendent's office at 301-766-2816 to sign up prior to the date of the hearing. People also can sign up 30 minutes before the hearing at the hearing location.

Copies of the plan will be made available at county schools, the school system's central office and at public libraries.
